    The American Fitness Index, which is a signature program created in partnership with the Wellpoint Foundation, came out with the results of a survey that it conducted independently. Published by the American College of Sports Medicine, this survey has revealed the results of how America’s largest metropolitan areas fared in the survey. While ranking 50 communities by their fitness levels, obesity rates and exercise rates, the results that came out were surprising. Although San Frisco came in at #8, it was seen to have the lowest obesity rate at 1.8 on the ranking scale (with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest).
