Pay Attention to Possible Brain Tumor Warning Signs
Health A-Z | March 18, 2010Brain tumor warning signs can come in the form of many different variations causing multiple symptoms. Not all symptoms will be experienced by all individuals affected by the development of a brain tumor however it is likely that each person will experience at least one or two different symptoms at some point during the development of such a condition.
Not all brain tumors are cancerous however even a non cancerous brain tumor can become life threatening if it is left untreated for extended periods of time. This is largely because even a non cancerous tumor can spread within the area of development and eventually become too large for the size of the skull cavity and when it tries to grow beyond this area it can overwhelm the functions of the brain eventually resulting in the death of the individual. In addition to this there is also the possibility that when left untreated even these types of brain tumors can become cancerous over time. Any cancerous brain tumor can quickly become life threatening if it is not treated because it will continue to spread and affect areas beyond the brain even as far away as the liver or kidneys.
Some of the early brain tumor warning signs or symptoms that you may have developed a brain tumor include changes in behavior or personality, headaches, seizures, vomiting, nausea, fatigue, fever, loss of appetite, lack of coordination, difficulty walking, seeing, hearing and talking and increased ease of bruising of the skin.
Although there are many symptoms that may be associated with the development of brain tumors, not all individuals will experience all of these symptoms. In fact some individuals that have been affected by this condition may not experience any symptoms at all in the early stages of development. In these cases it is especially important to notice any unusual symptoms that may be present even if it seems insignificant at the time. This is especially true of any kind of behavioral or personality differences that may be noticed as these are often the most common symptoms of most brain tumors as well as frequent and intense headaches that differ from a common headache. The type of headaches that may be associated with brain tumors are often worse in the mornings and gradually feel better over the course of the day. These headaches are also often relieved after vomiting and may produce effects such as double vision and vision as well as affect vision in general.
